Canoe Tours
Learn how to canoe on a leisurely 2-hour guided tour
of beautiful Big Bear Lake. After a quick paddling lesson,
you will cruise along the shore looking for beaver,
great blue herons, and ducklings. Along the way you
will learn the natural history of the Big Bear Valley
along with the various flora and fauna found in the
area. Children must be at least 6 years old and all
children need to be accompanied by an adult. Includes
water and a snack. Tours caravan to lake. Tours are
limited to 14 people, reservations recommended. Call

Kayaking Tours
Learn how to kayak on a guided tour of Big Bear Lake.
After a quick paddling lesson, you will cruise along
the shore looking for wildlife and discuss the natural
history of the Big Bear Valley. Children must be at
least 10 years old and all children need to be accompanied
by an adult. Includes water and a snack. Tour caravans
to lake. Tours limited to 14 people, reservations required.

Pacific
Crest Trail Hiking Tour
Get a chance to see a beautiful section of the scenic
2,650 mile PCT trail, which runs from Mexico to Canada.
You will learn about the natural history of the area,
along with the flora & fauna of the Big Bear Valley
on this naturalist led hike. A fabulous gourmet lunch
& transportation are provided. Hike is suitable
for beginning hikers to enthusiasts. Tour is limited

Sunset Hike & Dinner at the Historic Knickerbocker
Mansion
Enjoy a fabulous dinner at the historic Knickerbocker
Mansion, followed by a short naturalist led hike to
a gorgeous visit to view the sun setting over Big Bear
Lake. This is the perfect time of night to enjoy the
National Forest. After the hike you will return to the
mansion for dessert and refreshments. Tour meets at
the Knickerbocker Mansion ~ 869 Knickerbocker Rd, Big
Bear Lake. Tour is limited to 20 people, reservations

Nature Walks!
Saturdays; 1pm & 2pm
Sundays; 11am & 12pm through May
Join us for a 30-minute nature walk on Saturdays and
Sundays to learn about the local plant life, wildlife
and some very interesting historical facts. Great activity
for families and individuals who want to gain a greater
appreciation for our National Forest. Nature walks are
not strenuous and designed for all levels of physical
conditioning.

Night Hikes! (Serrano Campers Only)
Join a Discovery Center Naturalist to explore how the
forest changes as the sun goes down. Meet at Serrano
campground kiosk at 7:30pm. Hikes are not strenuous
and designed for all skill levels. Sponsored by California
Land Management.
